How We Teach
Learning at Rakeen begins with questions, not answers. Students are encouraged to wonder, investigate, and make connections — across subjects, across cultures, and across the world they are growing up in. They explore who they are, where they come from, how things work, how communities are built, and what it means to share this planet responsibly with others.
Our teachers do not deliver knowledge. They create the conditions for it — designing experiences that stretch thinking without breaking confidence, and guiding each child to take genuine ownership of their learning.
Through Arabic, Islamic studies, language and literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, the arts, and physical education, students build knowledge that is connected and transferable to life beyond the classroom.
We measure progress not only by what a child knows, but by how they think, how they collaborate, how they reflect on their own learning, and how they carry themselves through a challenge they have never faced before.
Where Identity Meets Learning
Every child arrives at Rakeen with a story — a family, a language, a set of values, a way of seeing the world. We do not ask them to leave that at the door. A child who is secure in who they are is a child who can take intellectual risks, ask difficult questions, and engage honestly with ideas that challenge them. This is why we invest as much in knowing each student as we do in teaching them.
